So Busy!!

Wow! I have been amazingly busy lately.
* I have finished the silvery llama yarn with, still, no name.
* I have made bunches and bunches of little mini skeins over the past several days. I think that I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 done, but I am shooting for 24 or so, I hope.
*I’ve started to work on my next pattern design for the new lace cuff.
*I have switched over from Paypal to Google Check Out on my Etsy store(which, by the way, is having a big sale. Link: http://www.StephanieASmith.etsy.com )
*And, last, but certainly not least, I have finished those lovely new spindles and have placed them for sale.
Well, it is coming up on 11 pm here. I should go to bed, but I think that I’ll go back to spinning.<VBG>

Silver Yarn with No Name and a Preview

Sorry to be a day late on the yarn picture, but I’m getting used to the new ‘school is now in session’ schedule and I seem to have fallen asleep a wee bit earlier than I planned last night. Anyhow, without any further ado, here is the picture of the Yarn with No Name:

So any ideas as to what I should call it? I do think that it is going to be just lovely and I am going to use it in my next knit lace cuff pattern. Here are a few more pictures of it to share:

And, finally, a preview of my new spindles In Progress:

Alas, not for me. They are destined for my Etsy shop, Strings and Things.

And, yes, there are some bottom whorls, too. My new line of copper edges as well. All shaped, sanded, hand painted and dry fit; awaiting the glue and varnish. I hope that you enjoyed my preview!

Silver!!!

I have just finished the first single of llama for the Dark Jungle yarn and I have absolutely decided that I must add silver to this one. It would be so extremely lovely. I just know it!!! It would change the tone of the yarn, but I think that it would be exquisite. I would have to rename it, though. Maybe, Moonlit Jungle??? It would be one ply dark jungle green llama, one ply black llama and a lovely length of metallic, shiny silver thoughout. Call it Green Starshine? Dark Silver?? Moons Light???Any ideas???
I’ll post pictures tomorrow.

Working On A New Knitting Pattern

Getting ready is such an exciting time for me. So ripe with
possibilities waiting to happen with a whole new knitting concept.

The new pattern will incorporate a sleeker, fishtail lace pattern ruffle that decreases to the wrist with a diamond ribbed cuff and a built in fingerless glove.

I’ve started spinning the first single very fine for the yarn for the next pattern. I’m going with llama on this one, but, of course, you may use the lace weight of your choice or purchase the actual brand in my Etsy store, as soon as it comes in stock.

The yarn that I’ll be using is Strings and Things Llama/Llama colorway: Dark Jungle and this one will need quite a bit more yardage than the last cuff. I’m, also, planning on adding beads on this one.
FUN!!

Done and new fibers

Yeah!! I’ve got the new skein of Angora/Silk yarn finished and on the store. I’m so proud of this one and just love how the splashing of color worked out.

Winter Flannels
Winter Flannels

I’m calling it Winter Flannels, as it was inspired by a stack of my husbands’ winter shirts.

Also, I’ve been dying fibers.
